3D-footprint is maintained by B Contreras-Moreira at the Laboratory of Computational & Structural Biology (Zaragoza, Spain), which is supported by ARAID. Early versions of the DNAPROT algorithm were originally conceived at the Computational Genomics group (UNAM, Mexico). The database was originally funded by grant CSIC:200720I038.
